  • The company achieved an overall score of 85 out of 100, an increase of 12 points year over year.
  • It earned the maximum score (100) in the Human Rights, Transparency, and Reporting categories.

ISA has been included for the tenth consecutive year in the Dow Jones World Index, now known as the Dow Jones Best in Class Index (DJ BIC)—one of the most recognized and demanding corporate sustainability assessments worldwide, which measures performance across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.

In this edition, the company achieved an overall score of 85 out of 100, reflecting a 12-point increase compared to the previous year. This result places ISA in the upper percentile of the industry among the 250 companies evaluated in the Electric Utilities sector and positions it as one of only two Colombian energy companies to rank among the top 15, reinforcing its performance against the highest international sustainability standards.

ISA obtained the maximum score (100/100) in the Human Rights, Transparency, and Reporting categories. It also delivered outstanding results in Materiality (prioritization of the most relevant topics for the business and its stakeholders), Risk Management, Information Privacy, as well as Energy and Water management.

Within the assessed categories, the report highlighted ISA’s performance across several key topics, with scores ranging between 90 and 100 points. Notable areas included the Code of Conduct, Emerging Risk Management, Efficient use of water and energy, SF6 gas management in electrical equipment, Biodiversity mitigation actions, Talent development and diversity, and social programs aimed at facilitating access to basic public services.

Additionally, ISA was included for the eighth consecutive year in the Dow Jones MILA Index (Latin American Integrated Market), which recognizes companies with the highest sustainability performance within the Pacific Alliance, comprising firms from Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. Of the eight companies evaluated, only four were admitted to the index—among them ISA—reaffirming its regional sustainability leadership.

“The results achieved in the Dow Jones Best‑in‑Class confirm that sustainability at ISA is a tangible practice, fully integrated into business management and aligned with the most demanding international standards. This performance reflects our commitment to a clean and fair energy transition, consistent with the role we play in developing infrastructure for the progress of the countries in which we operate,” said Gabriel Jaime Melguizo, Acting President of ISA.

As of 2025, S&P Dow Jones Indices renamed several of its sustainability-related indices, transforming the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) family into the Dow Jones Best‑in‑Class Indices (DJ BIC). This change applies to its global, regional, and national indices, originally launched in 1999 as pioneering benchmarks in corporate sustainability.
