Conexión Jaguar. What is it all about?
The jaguar is the largest feline in the Americas; its presence in an ecosystem is a sign of good health. This species is threatened by habitat loss and hunting.
Sustainability is at the heart of our strategy, and this is how we contribute to 5 of the COP16 goals by 2030:
GOAL 2
30% of ecosystems restored
With our Conexión Jaguar program we support conservation and restoration projects in 400,000+ ha of forests. We are in the process of restoring 1,034 ha of forests in Latam.
GOAL 3
30% of ecosystems conserved
We planted 40,000+ seedlings in Caño Mesa and Caño Zapatero, together with 4 communities to protect biodiversity.
GOAL 4
Recover and conserve species and genetic diversity
Recovery and conservation of degraded ecosystems, recording of endemic species or species with some degree.
Recording of 14 species with some degree of threat in conservation areas.
2,200 hectares of degraded land recovered with critically endangered endemic species recorded for the first time.
GOAL 8
Minimize the impact of climate change
Climate impact adaptation plans and communities of influence.
Sustainable easements with 1,000 people benefited, plus 55,000 m2 recovered.
GOAL 15
Adopting legal, administrative or policy measures for companies and financial institutions
We contribute through the identification and management of our risks, impacts and dependencies related to nature.
