  • Investments executed through September totaled COP 5.2 trillion, an increase of 19% compared with the same period in 2025.
  • Awards and acquisitions totaled USD 2.708 billion.
  • EBITDA reached COP 7.1 trillion, up 8%.
  • Net income stood at COP 1.8 trillion, a decrease of 3%, while ROAE reached 13.5%

ISA closed September 2026 with solid operating performance, supported by the commissioning of new projects and the completion of strategic transactions that strengthened its regional presence and growth capacity.

During the first nine months of the year, ISA executed COP 5.2 trillion in investments, representing growth of 19% compared with the same period of the previous year. Of this amount, COP 2.1 trillion was invested during the third quarter.

In addition, between January and September 2026, the company secured awards and completed transactions totaling USD 2.708 billion (approximately COP 9.5 trillion), consolidating new growth opportunities for the coming years. These included the transaction that enabled ISA to consolidate and gain 100% control of IE Madeira, the award of Ruta de los Lagos in Chile, and a package of urgent infrastructure works in Colombia.

On the financial front, as of September, the company reported EBITDA of COP 7.1 trillion, representing an 8% increase compared with the same period in 2025. This result was mainly driven by contractual revenue adjustments to reflect the impact of inflation, higher profits from construction activities, the consolidation of IE Madeira, and the commissioning of new projects. These included Riacho Grande in Brazil and Copey-Cuestecitas in Colombia in 2025, as well as Piraquê, Jacarandá, and other grid reinforcements and upgrades in Brazil in 2026.

Net income reached COP 1.8 trillion, a 3% decrease compared with September 2025, affected by macroeconomic variables and net financial results, which were partially offset by higher EBITDA. At the end of the period, ROAE, the indicator that measures return on equity, stood at 13.5%. The company noted that the currency translation effect resulting from the appreciation of the Colombian peso against other currencies in the region was one of the main factors affecting the variation in EBITDA and net income during the period.

On the operational front, three projects entered into operation in Colombia during the period, representing an investment of USD 29.6 million (approximately COP 103 billion). These included the relocation of 15 SmartValves at the Termoguajira substation and the modernization of the Betania substation in Huila. In addition, 13 grid reinforcement, upgrade, and connection projects were completed in Brazil, with investments of approximately USD 81 million (approximately COP 285 billion). These initiatives helped strengthen the reliability, resilience, and security of electricity systems across Latin America.

“These results allow us to move forward with confidence. We are strengthening the company, enhancing our ability to capture opportunities, anticipate transformations across our sectors, and maintain a leading role in developing the electricity infrastructure that Latin America will need in the coming decades,” said Olga Patricia Castaño, Acting President of ISA.
